MILANOLTRE – ROSAS_ANNE TERESA DE KEERSMAEKER
Nata in Belgio nel 1960, Leone d’oro della Biennale Danza 2015, Anne Teresa De Keersmaeker è una delle figure più rivoluzionarie della danza a livello mondiale. «Vivo immersa nella danza, che per me è un modo d’essere, agire, pensare». Il suo primo lavoro Asch è del 1980 ma è con Fase Four Mouvements to the Music of Steve Reich, considerato un capolavoro, che evidenzia una delle linee guida del suo lavoro, il rapporto tra danza e musica. Nel 1983 De Keersmaeker fonda la sua compagnia Rosas, una delle principali nella scena della danza europea.
«Si affermò turbinando sulla scena, circondata dalle sue danzatrici, in vortici di movimenti bruschi, reiterati, sfinenti, dove le ripetizioni si plasmavano e accavallavano sulle musiche modulari e ipnotiche di minimalisti quali Steve Reich e Thierry De Mey.
Descritta come l’emblema di “un femminino mordente e contemporaneo”, aprì la strada a una nuova, sofisticata dimensione estetica che ha influenzato l’immaginario dei nostri anni, non solo nel teatro e nelle arti visive, ma nella moda, nella pubblicità e nei videoclip» (la Repubblica). Il suo stile nel corso del tempo si è caratterizzato sempre più verso l’astrattismo ma «dalle sue danze emergono passioni, lirismo e un vivido ventaglio di “storie”».
